Thailand has been amazing.  Sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks, but I have not always had access to internet or when I have been able to get on, I have not always been able to log onto this blog.  But Everything has been great! We did a week of ministry in Chaing Mai with the Hope Church of Chaing Mai.  They were fantastic and kept us busy in the schools.  We loved working with them and miss them very much.  We then traveled to Lamphoon to a little village called Li.  We worked with Li Happy Methodist Church there (the only church in the village).  We had to "ruff it" a little more there (cold showers, sleeping on the floor, unknown foods, sweat like I have not sweated in years), but the people there we so nice to us and we had some awesome ministry opportunities there.  In fact on our last day in Li we were invited to a school in a Buddhist village close to Li.  It was totally arranged by God.  Some of the girls on our team went to an aerobics lesson one night (I did not go :) ) Anyway, they were talking to a woman we had all met earlier that day and another woman came up to them and asked who they were and what they were doing in Li.  They explained what we do and she asked if we could come to her school (she is a teacher in this school we went to).  So the girls told the pastor we were staying with and the other woman spoke with him as well and come to find out the 2nd lady is a teacher in the only school in a 100% Buddhist village.  A monk founded the village hundreds of years ago and the government has helped to keep it going, but for people to live there they have to be 100% Buddhist.  We were told that the last people to evangelize there (many, many, many years ago) were beat up and run out of town and we get an invitation from a teacher to come in and talk to the kids about Jesus!!!  It was awesome!!! We prayed about it a lot... we weren't ever sure we would be allowed in or not until we got there.  We thought we were going to have to teach english, but when we got there they just wanted to see our presentation.  So we were able to meet with over 600 kids and talk with them for about an hour about God and our experiences finding Jesus and what He means to us and the truth in His Word!  We saw kids that were just sitting in amazement, trying to wrap their minds around what we were telling them.  Some were on the verge of tears.  It was an awesome experience.  I thank God for placing me here to experience this!  Then at the end of everything, just before we passed out the Books of Hope to the kids,  the pastor we were there with openly prayed with the kids and had them repeat the pray as he was doing it!!! Everyone on our team was blown away!  God gives us more than we can imagine and then gives us so much more!!! It was out of control amazing!
We are all doing well.  No one is sick and we are well feed and rested.  We leave Bangkok today for Surat Thani.  We will be there until the 15th, then back to Bangkok.  Then we fly back to Florida on the 17th.  I will be back to Bradenton on the 20th of this month.
Hopefully I will be able to write again before then.
Thanks for your love and prayers.  Keep it coming.
Love you.
Marybeth
